Korea 2013 (Gapyeong); Nami Island (남이섬)

Today's itinerary covered few places; Nami Island, Petite France, and The Garden of Morning Calm.
All of these places are located in Gapyeong, the area that lies in a border between Gyeonggi-do and Gangwon-do.

There are some ways to get to these places, and the easiest and cheapest would be by taking the Gapyeong Shuttle Bus which covers all of these 3 attractions, and the fee is just 5,000 won for 1 day unlimited  ride.
But, of course there are schedules that we need to follow so planning need to be done carefully.

And make sure not to lose the ticket.

And be punctual too!

Our first stop on that day was Nami Island. Initial plan was to catch the shuttle bus at Gapyeong Train Station at around 10am but anyway.....a plan was just a plan, of course~
The reality? We got into the 11.10am bus. Not bad.... (^^,")

Gapyeong Yeok. Or Gapyeong Station

The Tourist Information Center

The shuttle bus stops near the Tourist Information Center. When arrived at Gapyeong Station, get out from Exit 1 and this cute information center will be in sight.

It's so lucky that we unexpectedly asking about the shuttle bus to the tour guide that will join the tour on the very next schedule at 11.10am. We wait for about 20 minutes or so and here comes the bus!~

The journey to Gapyeong Wharf where ferries to Nami Island are departed took around 5 minutes, and by the time we arrived, the wharf was crazily full of people. Mainly because of the Chuseok Festival holiday that had started on that day. Seems Nami island was one of preferred picnic locations for Koreans huh. (>.<)

the 'visa' fee costs 8,000 won for foreigners

Boarding onto 'Nami Maid' ^^

Anyway, we made it to this man-made island!~ =D

Crowded T_T"

Spent nearly 2 hours before we left the island and headed to Petite France by 2.15pm shuttle bus.

Btw, for Gapyeong Wharf/Nami Island, the shuttle bus would stop in front of 7Eleven.
So make sure to wait for the bus there EARLIER than the expected arrival time.

...Or you might probably need to wait for the next bus. Hehe.

  1. Next month I will have this exact itinerary. Dah gi Nami twice but since nanti gi ngan cousin yang xpenah jejak South Korea, kenalah repeat visit. And Petite France too. View would be different during winter; sedapkan hati. Then in the evening nak tengok light festival kat Garden of the Morning Calm. Can't wait!
